Meet Our Trainers

Debbie O’Connor

ACE, TRX, SPIN, SOS

My name is Debbie O’Connor. I live in Clinton Twsp. with my 4 children, Jack 16, Ryan 14 Kayla 11 and Cole 10.

I have been a fitness fanatic since I was about 13 years old. I finished college with a degree in Psychology, but having 4 children over 6 years kept me very busy as a stay at home mom. In 2014 an opportunity arose for me to begin teaching a boot camp class that I had currently been participating in as a client.
I completed my ACE Certification and began teaching 3 classes a week. This eventually turned into up to 9 classes a week, along with small groups and one on one personal training.  I also started training for Spartan Races which led into me being certified as a Spartan Obstacle Specialist. I have trained a group as large as 22 people to complete their first Spartan races. My 14 year old son is special needs and I push him in races in an adaptive running chair. We do anything from 5k's to 1/2 marathons.

I have also trained first time runners to complete a 5k.  The energy and excitement I feel every time I walk in to instruct a class never waivers. I spend a great deal of time constructing classes and giving my clients a variety of fun and different workouts.

I make the classes suitable for all levels of fitness and use a variety of equipment.
Anything from body-weight to Kettle-bells to Tabata to HIIT, to circuit stations……you never know what you are going to get, but it will always be easy to follow and a full body workout.

Courtney Roe

I started teaching indoor cycling in 2006 and have ridden a bike ever since I can remember. Received RealRyder certified in 2011 and haven't been on a "spin bike" since. I hold certification in RealRyder Indoor Cycling, TRX Level 1 & 2 and TRX Rip. I have completed over 10 half marathons, one marathon, numerous road centuries (100 miles), competed in mountain bike nationals, local cross country mountain bike race series and much more. I compete as a CAT 1 XC mountain biker. I take from all my hours of training and self motivation and give them to my class. I will motivate and take you to levels of fitness you never knew you possessed in a fun non competitive environment. Are you ready?! I was born ready! Join me for an awesome workout and the RYDE of your life!"

The Ultimate Indoor Cycling Experience

John Feddersen

After 15 years in the stressful field of Media, John Feddersen’s world changed dramatically in 2002, with the pop of the “Dot Com” bubble.  Laid-off and facing an uncertain future, John’s fears were quieted by the calming affects of a practice he had begun as a student just 3 years earlier…  Yoga!

The next two years represented a reinvention of what John once believed to be the ideals of life, the recognition and admission of being caught up in the “Rat Race”.

Jumping off the gerbil wheel and into a whole new perspective, boggled John’s mind… which turned out to be a good thing!  John traveled worldwide, took courses with spiritual notables, embraced a philosophy of living in the moment, and all of this culminated into becoming a Yoga instructor.  Now for 15 years, John has enjoyed an exclusively full-time Yoga schedule.

Certified under Devilila, a Hatha Yoga derivative, John’s classes are always progressive.  It would be difficult to describe his style down precisely, as each class may vary greatly.  A student in his class may discover something beyond the exercise of just the Yoga poses…  Spiritual wisdom is blended in, almost seamlessly and adds an awaking dimension to the overall experience.

Kirsli
Kirsli began her RealRyder adventure in 2012. She became passionate about riding and even began to ride outdoors on her mountain bike and road bike. She took a four year hiatus from cycling when she had her twins and started riding with Velocity on opening day. Kirsli fell in love with the RealRyder all over again which ignited her desire to teach. She loves heavy climbs and fast sprints. The more intense the ride the better! Come join her for a class - you will definitely need a towel!
